Mad May

Since like a plonker I hadn't charged my laptop thought I'd blog instead of work. May has been a stupidly busy month. We had the christening for the girls on 3rd May 'oop' north. Born Jewish, atheist by choice it took me a long time to realise that Nanette had every right to give a religious identity to the girls even though it contradicts my own beliefs and principles. I know that we will bring them up to think properly about their own beliefs and fully trust them to make their own decisions come what may. What ever religion, or not, they choose I'll fully respect them. Just please don't be vegetarians. Or support the scum! Anyway it was a lovely day, the hotel was stunning and Maisy blew a raspberry at the vicar. Mum didn't come which was disappointing but dad was there and it was a lovely small get together with family and friends. We spent the most time with Dave, Debs and their kids Alex and Emily. Really enjoyed it. They bought the girls silver stars and a star named after each of them - genius! Everyone was generous and lovely.

Work is really busy so drove home for 3 days in London then back up north for niece Jessica's 18th bday party. Got a cold but made it through. The party was fancy dress and I went as Virgil from thunderbirds FAB! Back home prepared for really busy week at work. 4 days in the city and walked to and back from Waterloo to office (45 mins) each day. Knackered but got to be good for me. Listening to loads of music on my ipod which I'm loving. Currently Ben Folds which is relaxing.

Arsenal blew, um, everything in may. Got cained by chelski, moan u which is gutting. Next season we have to get a grip...

Rest of may is no less quiet, camping in France with the kids this weekend plus its our anniversary. Weekend after that Nanette is on a hen weekend and I have the kids all on my own....GULP!

Decorating mums spare room, cam belt went on Clio writing it off, getting gear for kids (new car seats, play pens, stair gates, toys, clothes etc etc etc). Lisa B has had a lovely new baby boy called Che. Been out on the razzle a few times not sure when I fitted that in!

And the girls? Hattie can crawl backwards and can sit on her knees holding onto the cot. Maisy is now saying mama every now and then. Both are sleeping great and playing together. Loved one moment in the morning when Maisy was sticking her tongue in and out and Hattie was trying to grab it, brilliant! Been tough for Nanette with so much going on and me having to go into the city more.

People ask me why do you blog such boring stuff? Well 1. To remind me later on in life what we got up to 2. To update family and friends what were up to when we don't see them for a while and 3. If you aren't interested you don't have to read it!

Waterloo looms as does a big rain cloud. Gonner risk it and walk. Bravery now on ipod so very apt!
