1. Use it as a diary - If you have a rubbish memory then why not write down details about your holiday, weekend or whatever. Add photo's links to relevant sites and in years to come you can look back and recall the things you got up to
2. Soap box - Got a lot to say? Why not use your blog to exercise your creative writing skills. There are loads of examples of people writing political or other opinion related articles. If it's worth reading you will find that more and more people visit your blog - you could be famous!!
3. Use it for work - Lots of people (not me) use their Blog to discuss and share work related ideas and topics. Works very well for IT techie stuff, but equally for any discipline where advice and best practise is a valuable commodity.
4. Integrate to facebook - Using a facebook application like RSS Connect you can have you blog on facebook. You can even publish entries to your newsfeed keeping facebook as your main update source for friends and family
5. Twitter your blog - Use twitter to keep people updated with whats new on your blog. Get past the 140 character limit
6. Update anywhere - You can update your blog via e-mail. So on your mobile, at home, at work - where ever you want.
7. Add media to your blog - These days you can publish videos, pictures, music, documents anything you want to your blog. Check out www.qik.com which lets you send videos from your mobile direct to your blog!
8. It's so easy to do. Go to http://www.blogger.com or any other blog hosting site and follow the instructions. Takes 10 mins and you can then begin to personalise your blog as you go along.
9. Sharpen your HTML skills - Since your blog is basically a HTML web page, if you know HTML you can use it to customise the page and add your own look & feel.
10. Add stuff to your blog - There are 1000's of templates, gadgets and plug-ins for the main blogs - so a lot of the hard work has been done for you.
See you on the net
